1 Overview
i. Teams are formed by bidding for players
ii. Points are scored on a win, lose, draw basis
iii. If your attacking players score more goals than your defensive players concede then your team has won
2 Bidding for Players
i. Your initial budget is £50m
ii. Select your players based on your chosen formation (4-4-2 or 5-3-2) and determine a bid price for each.
iii. Submit your bids for players along with the name of your team to the official FFootage Web site @
http://footage.mcl-dev.com/ using the Luddite Bid feature.
iv. There may or may not be subsequent rounds of bidding for the players you have chosen. It depends on the player's popularity in the league.
v. The minimum bid Unit is £0.5m
vi. Because teams are decided by bidding against other managers, you may attempt to select as few or as many players from any premiership team as you wish.
vii. When a bid has been made for a player, other managers have two days to counter bid before that player is automatically sold
viii. Players that are subject to a bid will be indicated on the players list page
3 Team Composition
i. Choose Eleven players - there are no substitutes (see section 5)
ii. For 4-4-2 formation, select a keeper, four defenders (any mixture of centre backs and full backs) and six attacking players (any mixture of midfielders and forwards)
iii. For 5-3-2 formation (should you be mad enough) you have one more defensive player and one less attacking player
4 Scoring
i. Your team's match result is decided by the net goal difference contributed by it's constituent players
ii. If a defensive players real-life team concedes a goal in a match that he plays in (irrespective of whether he was on the pitch at the time) he has a goal difference of -1.
iii. Likewise an attacking player scoring a goal is +1
iv. Non Playing defensive players (eg injured, does not get a game) automatically obtain a result of -1.
v. All defensive players start with +1 and all other players start with 0.
5 Changing your Team
i. You may wish to change your team to cater for injured or off form players:
ii. To do this you must transfer list a player by notifying the league (feedback)
iii. Other managers with transfer listed players may then bid for the player
iv. Alternatively the player can be sold back to the league for half his original purchase cost. (NB: Try to do this midweek or you could end up a man short come Saturday)
v. Players may only be bought or sold during an official transfer window.
6 Cash Injections
i. At intervals a wealthy benefactor will deposit £10m (not real - for the purposes of this game only) into your club accounts - use this money to boost your team's flagging fortunes by offloading underperforming or injured stars and getting onboard some new blood.
7 New League Players
i. Players no-longer relevant for the purposes of this game (eg transfers out of the premiership) will be replaced (where not selected by a manager) by other players appearing regularly in Premier League matches.
8 Postponed Matches
i. Pools panel determines all postponed matches 0-0 with defensive apperances based on previous played game of each team.
